Cold Man

I saw a cold man last night.
He was pushed against the wall with frighten eyes.
I noticed him standing there alone with a Bible in his hand,
and a bottle in the other.
The bottle was tall, and filled with a drink.
I looked at him for quite awhile.
He never moved.
I just wanted to know what he was thinking.

There was a sudden corruption.
The cold man that was once right before me, ran quickly.
Leaving nothing behind but his Bible.
I walked faintly to the wall, and picked up what he had left.
And before my eyes, I read, "Ephesians 5:18- Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life.
Instead, let the Holy Spirit fill and control you."
It was that night that I realized there was more bad than what I portrayed it to be.

For the children

who have the parents of this kind.

When your father tells you that you are worthless, please don't listen to him. When you hear your mom crying in the other room, please don't leave. When your brother or sister tell you they hate you, please ignore all. Please always be passionate in what you do, and never give up. I just want you to feel good about yourself. Even if it doesn't matter to your family, let it matter to yourself.
